Las Vegas
It's important to take a risk or two in life. Maybe your risks involve bike riding. Maybe it's a culinary risk...like devouring that big bag of beef jerky you just purchased at the "Everything's A Dollar" store. Maybe you take your chances socially....Is that car seat sufficiently absorbent enough to conceal the egg you just laid from your friends and family?
Tonic Fab will be taking a risk next week when we attend the Interbike Trade Show in Las Vegas. Who knows what will happen to us? We'll have a bike on display in the Yakima Racks booth. The bike is the latest incarnation of our cyclo-cross bike, which for the time being we are call the BCX. We are proud of this bike. It turned out really light, and nice looking. We (Jon, Tony and myself) will be milling about the show, so if you want to check out the bike, or talk to us about anything, the Yakima booth will be a good place to start. Actually, an even better place to find us will be either at the Atomlab premier at the Doubledown late wendsday night, or Fit Life premeire , or maybe the NWD 7 premiere...
Maybe 'cross isn't your thing, but sometimes you have to appreciate something done right, even if you aren't into it. Like this car I happened across. Something tells me Charlie would like that vehicle. Speaking of Charlie, he's now the Oregon Jr. State Downhill Champ! Enjoy it Charlie..it's one of the few times in life you'll celebrate going down-hill. Speaking of things done well, how about how about Billy's No-Can? Yikes.
The rest is a mix of the good and the bad.
In Bad and Sad News, Chad has to face his local trails getting plowed. Chad is a local at a legendary area called "Minersville" 10 years of digging and good times leveled in a day. Read about it here.
In what seems to be a balancing of the scales, some trails in Seattle got saved! An excellent, and short video about this process here. And here.
That's it for the moment. I'll update this page with what ever dirt I can dig up in Vegas.
