I don’t know what to say about Tony and myself that doesn’t sound like a terrible cross between a job interview and a first date. I think it’s fair to say we haven’t accomplished much as bike riders, and sometimes laugh at things we shouldn’t. We believe in bikes, doing your own thing, and doing it well.
Prior to starting Tonic in 2004, we’d spent most of our adult lives employed in bicycle manufacturing and design. In spite of ourselves, we’d managed to pick up a thing or two along the way. We believe this experience sets us apart.
About Tonic.
I suppose Tonic began as a means of answering the question “Wouldn’t it be cool if...?”
Wouldn’t it be cool if a bike looked and rode like this?
Wouldn’t it be cool if a bike company functioned like that?
Tonic is built around integrity. From customer service to design to developing our own tooling; our goal is to do the right thing. This integrity is something we are very proud of.
Answering those original questions with Tonic hasn’t been quick, and it certainly hasn’t been easy. But nothing worth doing ever is.
